The Distance Selling regulations ( DSR)  implement European Council Directive (97/7/EC)7 and for most goods and services provide additional rights to consumers buying at a distance to encourage confidence in this method of buying. The protection the DSRs offer is important because consumers cannot inspect goods or services before they buy when they shop at a distance. All member states of the European Union (EU) must implement the Directive in their national legislation. The DSRs came into force on 31 October 2000 and were amended by SI 689/2005 effective from 6 April 2005. This made changes to the requirements to provide information when supplying services and to cancellation periods for the supply of services.

All items on our web site are strictly offered subject to availability.
If you are in a hurry for a pickup please either telephone or e-mail us to check on stock levels before using the buy now and add to basket buttons as this may save unnecessary delays. 

Shipping
We only sell goods and ship to addresses within the Mainland U.K and to most member countries within the European Union.  
Any shipment to addresses which are termed outside Mainland U.K by our courier services may be subject to additional delivery costs.

Payment
Payment in full must be received by us before any goods can be dispatched.

Delivery

Items in stock are dispatched by  Royal Mail First Class Signed For Post the same or next business day we receive the order. (Saturday and Sunday are not classed as business days)  This service normally takes 2 to 3 business days from dispatch/posting  Although this service works well it is not a guaranteed next day delivery service and is subject to Royal Mail delivery conditions.

Responsibility for ownership of the goods passes to purchaser once delivered.
We can only deliver goods to the same address to which the credit/debit card used to pay for the goods is registered, except in cases where payment has been made in full prior to dispatch or by cheque, postal order or bankers draft, and the funds have cleared fully against our account
 
Delivery will be made by a post/courier service within normal business hours.

All visible damage at time of delivery must be notified to the courier immediately upon delivery.
All other damages/shortages must be notified to us within one working day of delivery.

Right to Cancel

Under the Distance Selling Regulations(D.S.R) you have the right to cancel your order for a period up to a maximum of seven business days following  the first day you receive the goods. (e.g. 7 days after the day you received delivery)  You have the right to inspect, consider and examine the goods for this period of time and if they fail to meet with your requirements you can return them for a full refund.
Orders cannot be cancelled or returned where the goods have been altered by the purchaser in any way from the
original condition. . Fitting pickups into a guitar would not take place when purchasing under normal face to face in shop trading methods and pickups that have been fitted  e.g. soldered terminal ends. shorterning of terminal leads, screw thread dammage, scratches and damage to wax potting etc will render the pickup as to be Not in original condition  all products subjected to this action are not returnable for a full refund
 
You must notify us of you intention to cancel by either writing to the above address or by e-mail to cancel@crazytrainmusic.co.uk with
Cancel Order in the subject header

All transportation costs for cancelled orders must be paid by the purchaser, except in instances where the goods supplied are faulty or have been supplied by us in error.
All costs will be deducted prior to any refunds being made.


This does not affect your statutory rights.


Refunds

Returns for a refund will only be accepted if the item is in original condition as supplied to you (see above) with all original packaging and contents. All returned products not meeting this requirement will be subjected to a
re-instatment charge which can out weigh the original cost of the pickup. You must understand all our pickups are manufactured in the U.S.A.  We have no facility to re wire, modify, re package, polish or re-wax pot pickups here in the U.K. Once you modify a pickup from its original condition it can not easily be undone and will incur labour and transportation costs back and forth to the manufacturer for re-instatement.
Seymour Duncan offer on their web site a world wide 30 day exchange policy. If you wish to take advantage of this offer you must contact Seymour Duncan directly in the U.S.A.   We
do not offer this policy in the U.K.

Refunds can only be made by the method originally used to pay for the goods. Credit/debit card refunds will be processed immediately upon receipt of the returned goods and normally take 3-5 working days to show on the customer's account.

Goods cannot be returned as faulty where a specific defect in the product was brought to the attention of the customer at the point of sale.

Refunds and returns cannot be made when an item has been specially ordered.

Correct fitting is the responsibility of the purchaser. No refund will be made if the product has been damaged due to incorect fitting

Refunds will not be made if  the fault is due to misuse by the purchaser.

The Wheel Bin Symbol
Denotes that the products as marked can no longer be disposed of along with the normal household waste. 
i.e. In your Wheelie Bin, Dust Bin or House Hold Refuse Point.

EC Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE Directive) aims to minimise the impact of electrical and electronic goods on the environment, by increasing re-use and recycling and reducing the amount of WEEE going to landfill.
In compliance with this regulation you can return unwanted Wheelie Bin Marked electronic components back to us for disposal.  Free of charge.  But the products you return to us must be on a like for like basis… e.g.  If you purchase a pickup from us you can return your old no longer required pickup back for disposal.  You can not return an item of dissimilar product a TV set for instance.  This is not a compulsory request you may wish to retain you old pickup/parts to use or to sell on at a later date. This regulation is only applicable when you decide you no longer require the product and that you have decided to dispose of the product permanently.  We have therefore negotiated a return policy with the post office. Simply place you unwanted products in an envelope with a note informing us you no longer require these parts  and write:-

RoHS Directive

The RoHS Directive and the UK RoHS regulations came into force on 1 July 2006

The RoHS Directive stands for "the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment".  This Directive bans the placing on the EU market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants.

As of the 1 July 2006. All  products offered for sale on our web site are sourced from manufactures that comply with the RoHS directive
